整篇演講有三個重點:
1. Expect to be wrong
必須對新思維和新角度抱有開放態度，和自己也會犯錯的可能性。
2. Recognise when “someone is talking rot”
挑戰和被挑戰都是學習認清是非、誰在說謊的機會，當有人表示不同意時，正是思考和找出真相的途徑，從而知道誰在胡言亂語。
3. Don’t be silent and engage in debate
面對面的溝通不用說，網路更會發生不自覺的「過濾氣泡現象」（Filter Bubble）和「回聲室效應」（Echo Chamber）。
